OBSERVE WARNING SIGNS IN GUESTS
Observation of Guests is also essential. Monitoring changes in behavior or unusual reactions to normal
situations must be treated as a priority to ensure the safety of both Team Members and Guests.
Verbally expressed anger and frustration Threats made against property
Body language including threatening gestures Threats of using a weapon
Threats made against Team Members or other Intimidating behavior

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CONCERN
The potential for domestic abuse spillover is also a threat that must not be ignored, as there is a chance that
our Guests and Team Members may be in danger if the situation escalates. If a Team Member expresses
concern regarding a domestic violence situation, immediately contact Human Resources.
IF A VIOLENT SITUATION OCCURS
The following provisions should be followed after an episode of workplace violence:
Call 911.
Ensure the scene is secured and all Team Members and Guests are safe. If the area is not secure, remove
Guests and Team Members from the area.
Call the Crisis Hotline.
The Crisis Team Leader may ask you to take the following actions:
Gather the names of any witnesses.
Gather witness statements.
Provide Team Members with the necessary instruction/assistance after the violence ends.
