Berkshire Hills Chorus
Spring is in the air in the Berkshires of Massachusetts... or is that SNOW that I see??! Seasonal changes in
New England can create days of hope for the new warmer season ahead (when the temperatures rise to a
balmy 62 degrees) and days of disappointment (when we have our biggest snowstorm of the season one
day later) (unless, of course, it brings joy for those who love playing or hiking in the snow).
Some of our outdoor winter performances, including caroling at the Red Lion Inn
in Stockbridge, and spreading joy in Great Barrington
Perhaps our chorus has adjusted fairly well to the many changes which the pandemic has brought to us
because we are hearty New Englanders and we are used to adjusting to seasonal change. The saying
around here goes something like this: “If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute!” Berkshire HiIls
Chorus has stayed quite strong in the past two years as we’ve adjusted to rehearsals on Zoom, rehearsals in
a parking garage, rehearsals back to our regular rehearsal space, and then back to rehearsals on Zoom
over the cold winter months.
