4. The results are likely to be inconclusive as we cannot isolate the variables
properly and some of the more able children are likely to see this. Establish
that we are not able to work out how important each variable is in the
classroom.
5. Show pictures of different modes of transport which illustrate the above factors.
Aeroplanes are made of a light material and are slim-line.
6. Is there any one who knows all the answers? God helps scientists who ask him
for knowledge. New discoveries can often lead to improvements and inventions.
Some children in the class may feel called to be scientists.
7. Let the children draw their best toy car and write a few sentences about the
experiments.
Learning for Life (Fulfilment)
1. For the children to consider the variables affecting the movement of toy cars
down a ramp.
2. To learn the importance of fair testing.
3. To appreciate that scientific knowledge cannot always answer everything but
God grants wisdom to those who ask for it.
