remarkable love story than this. Growing up in the Catholic Church I learned that Jah
Jehovah cannot fall in love -- not because He is less loving than we are -- rather
because He is more loving. As noted by [Kreeft, 2015], “He cannot fall in love for the
same reason that water cannot get wet: it is wet. God is love.” In response, are we
willing to love and serve our neighbor unconditionally? Or, are we bent on loving and

housing our pets while our brethren go hungry and homeless?

In asking the above questions, Alonzo’s reminded of C.S. Lewis’ response

when he was asked which of his many published books he thought he would have in
heaven? He replied, “Only the ones I gave away on earth and never got back.”

Often, some claim to be “Christians;” but they see their fellow brethren on the

streets -- digging through garbage cans -- looking for discarded food to eat.
Sometimes, their children tag along in tattered apparels; and at times, the young ones
are heard crying because they haven’t eaten or drank milk for hours, if not for days.
You see them around you: In the parking lots, along the highways and streets. It’s not

like they are invisible, even while these “Christians” put on blind eyes. Take a drive
west of Evangeline Trafficway and Simcoe Street in Lafayette, Louisiana. How about
the corridors of 18th and Prospect Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri?

How about north of Washington Boulevard -- east of 18th and Haskell Avenue
in Wyandotte County, Kansas? Okay, I get it. In the words of Al Rocker of NBC, it looks
like I still haven’t touched your neck of the woods. What about along Virginia Street

      -- heading toward East Point -- just a stone-throw from Hartsfield-Jackson
International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia? Or should we talk about California?
Breaking News: Not everybody who lives in Hollywood is a movie star; there are
some destitute. Should I continue? No, it would take pages upon pages.

It looks like I’m getting closer home; but not to worry, this is not about your
