              ▪  Supports the day-to-day functionality of Donor Relations and Special Events,
                Advancement Communications  and Marketing, Advancement Services, and
                Operations and Organizational Development.

              ▪  Leads the annual goal-setting process for advancement operations, including
                setting individual and team goals for staff members within his purview.

              ▪  Manages operating budget and the associated budgets under his purview.

           Strategic Operating Management


            ▪  Serves as the lead planner and enabler of SU’s Advancement annual operating
               plan  --  including  framing,  capturing  and  reporting  on  key  initiatives  and

               progress  toward  goals.  This  also  includes  facilitating  strategic  leadership
               discussions, management  updates  and planning  retreats  to  advance  the
               Institution’s shared objectives.

            ▪  Represents Advancement in various campus-wide committees, task forces, and
               other  working groups, including but not  limited to  the  Chancellor’s
               Administrative Council.

            ▪  Serves as the connecting  point and provides  strategic  guidance  for multiple

               cross-functional projects of varying impact, complexity, and duration.

            Resource Administration


            ▪  As the chief advancements officer (CAO), financial, plant, and talent resources,
               works in close partnership with the Chancellor to allocate, steward and manage

               the Institution's investment in the advancement enterprise. This includes
                 developing  innovative  funding  models  to  effectively  resource  and  fund
               advancements operations, inclusive of the capital campaign.
