ARTICLE IV: OFFICERS

        Section 1.     The officers of Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter shall be the
        Basileus,  Anti-Basileus  of  Programs,  Anti-Basileus  of  Operations,
        Grammateus,       Anti-Grammateus,      Epistoleus,   Anti-Epistoleus,
        Tamiouchos,     Anti-Tamiouchos,    Pecunious    Grammateus,     Anti-
        Pecunious Grammateus, Philacter, Hodegos, Reporter to the Ivy Leaf,
        Historian, Graduate Advisors, Parliamentarian, and five (5) Members-at-
        Large.

        Section 2.     The Parliamentarian, Chaplain and five Members-at-large
        shall be appointed. The immediate past Basileus, during her first post-
        tenure  year,  will  serve  as  one  of  the  five  Members-at-large.  All  other
        officers shall be elected by a plurality vote at a regular meeting of the
        chapter.

        Section 3.     The Basileus shall be elected for a period of two years
        and may be re-elected for one additional two-year term. The graduate
        advisor shall be elected for one year and may be reelected for three
        additional  one-year  terms.  The  election  of  all  other  officers  is  on  an
        annual basis. No officer, with the exception of the Basileus and Graduate
        Advisor,  shall  remain  in  any  given  office  more  than  two  consecutive
        years.

         Section 4.    All candidates for the offices of Basileus, Anti-Basileus of
         Programs, and Anti-Basileus of Operations must have been financial
         with  Alpha  Kappa  Omega  Chapter  for  a  period  of  at  least  four  (4)
         consecutive  years  immediately  preceding  election  and  shall  have
         attended  one  of  the  last  two  Boules  or  one  the  last  two  Regional
         Conferences.

         Section 5.    All other candidates for elected and appointed office must
         have been financial with Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter for a minimum
         of three (3) consecutive years (36 consecutive months) prior to January
         1 of the year in which the term of office shall begin.
