• Manages on-site security operations to protect facilities from unauthorized entry.
Establishes policies, procedures, and programs to ensure operations and the occupants of
Cooper facilities are secure.
• Works with local civic authorities such as police departments, fire departments, and law
enforcement departments/ offices to maintain facility safety and security and rapid
response to potential incidents.
• Develops a complete training program for EHS&S programs. Identifies, prioritizes, acquires,
and monitors training activities regarding EHS&S matters.
• Represents the Company in the community or with industry related EHS&S programs.
• May, on occasion, be required to perform other duties as necessary for efficient operations.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED
• BA/BS degree with an engineering, science or chemical focus, OR sufficient manufacturing
experience to meet or exceed an equivalent level of subject matter knowledge.
• Approximately 12-15 years of leadership experience; preferably in an EHS&S management
function with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Approximately five years in a leadership position directing or managing a multi-faceted
EHS&S program with a global manufacturing company.
• Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies in important regulatory matters, including
negotiating and/or implementing settlement agreements.
• Strong strategic planning, prioritization and risk identification / management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change in processes and culture.
• Exceptional leadership and change management skills, with the ability to motivate others
and drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• A proven track record of improving EHS&S performance and culture in prior roles over a
reasonable period of time.
• Strategic thinking and problem solving skills, with a balance of strong operating skills.
