Bag Spout Interfaces
The operator interface with the
discharge spout varies depending
on the bag style and material
characteristics. The design objective
for every application is a user
friendly access to untie or re-tie the
spout while providing dust free and
complete material discharge.
Bag Piercing Hopper Spout Interface: A removable triangular
blade assembly pierces the center of unspouted bags to allow the material
to discharge. A large diaphragm forms to the bottom of the bag while it is
lowered on to the blade assembly to reduce dusting during the discharge
process.
The top of the hopper includes a
1/4” thick rubber diaphragm that
seals against the bottom of the
bag while it is lowered onto the
knife blade assembly to eliminate
dusting during discharge.
Bag Piercing Hopper
Various hoppers designs and
surge capacities are available.
The hopper discharge can be
flanged for connection to a wide
range of conveying options or
other process equipment.
The bolt on triangular blade assembly
pierces the bottom of the bag as it is
lowered down onto the blades providing
an opening in the bag for material to
discharge.
