                                       The Cornwall County home venue is Carnmoggas Indoor
                                       Bowling Club located on the Carnmoggas Holiday Park at Lit-

                                       tle Polgooth near St Austell with easy access from all parts
                                       of the county. We can comfortably set out eight mats for all
             our competition and Inter-County Match needs and the venue offers tea/coffee
             and bar facilities.
             COUNTY FINALS - TWO WOOD SINGLES
              COUNTY FINALS - TWO WOOD SINGLES
             27 pairs competed at Carnmoggas for the eight places in the FInals for the County Two Wood
             Pairs.  The pairings were organised into six groups with the group winners and two best runners
             up qualifying.
                   Group One winners were Martin Boraston (Duloe) & Gary Davey (Landrake) with 6 points
             +24.  Group Two saw Bob Banks & David Topliffe (Boscastle) finish top on 6 +17 and Sheila
             Yelland & Bert Morrisey (Goonbarrow) took the second runner up spot with 4 +7.  Richard Kerr
             & Dennis Shorthouse (Landrake) topped Group Three with the day's highest score of 6 +31.
                   Group Four winners were Max Burden & Keith Matthews (Blisland) with 6 +16.  Group Five
             saw Nathan Waters & Luke Jolly (Withiel) finish top on 4 +22 with Ray Jeffery & Nigel Nicholls
             (Newlyn Trinity) second on 4 +10 for the highest runner up spot.  Steve Smith & Roger Hailey
             (St Newlyn East) top the last finals spot topping Group Six with 4 +6.
                   First up on Finals day where the Quarter Finals.  David Topliffe (Boscastle) defeated Des
             Pengelly (Landrake) 15-8.  Graham Reeves (Saltash) won 12-8 against Antony Smith (Lux-
             ulyan).  Alan Holden (Landrake) won 10-7 against Bob Banks (Boscastle) and Ronnie Thomas
             (Newlyn Trinity) defeated Callum Beale (Blisland) 10-7. In the Semi Finals Reeves defeated
             Topliffe 10-5 and Holden defeated Thomas 13-6.  Holden won the final 11-8.
              COUNTY - FOUR WOOD PAIRS
             COUNTY - FOUR WOOD PAIRS
             On the first qualifying day, 19 pairs competed with the group winners progressing through to the
             final’s day.  Group One was topped by Leonard Lee & John Read (Duloe) with 5 points +9 shots,
             second were Lynn & Bob Smith (Praa Sands) with 4 +9.  Group Two winners were Caroline &
             Alan Trubshaw (Duloe) with 6 +27, second were Ted Pentland & Brian Gregory (Withiel) with 4
             +13.  Group Three winners were Kevin Williams & Mike Dyer (Newlyn Trinity) with 6 +11, second
             were David Balow & David Foulds (Marazion) with 3 +4.  Richard Kerr & Dennis Shorthouse
             (Landrake) were the days final qualifiers with 6 +11 in Group Four where Val & Geoff Risdon
             (Lanteglos) finished second with 4 +9.
                   On the second qualifying day 18 pairs competed again with the group winners progressing
             to the final’s day.  Group One was topped by Martin Boraston (Duloe) & Gary Davey (Landrake)
             with 6 +24, second were Elise Daniell & Peter Hore (Holmans) with 4 +20.  Group Two winners
             were Peter Skinner & Graham Reeves (Saltash) with 4 +8, second were Mark Payne & Howard
             McCormack (Penlee) with 4 +1.  Group Three winners were John & Sandra Worton (St Newlyn
             East) with 6 +32, second were Chris Roberts & Tony Jago (Ladock) with 4 +15.  Max Burden &
             Keith Matthews were the days final qualifiers with 6 +15 in Group Four where Nathan Waters &
             Luke Jolly (Withiel) finished second with 4 +7.
                   Finals day of the Four Wood Pairs started with the qualifiers playing in the Quarter Finals.
             Richard Kerr and Dennis Shorthouse (Landrake) defeated Kevin Williams and Mike Dyer (New-
             lyn Trinity) 11-5.  Max Burden and Keith Matthews (Blisland) won 10-2 against Caroline and
             Alan Trubshaw (Duloe).  Peter Skinner and Graham Reeves (Saltash) defeated Heidi Kerr and
             Gary Davey (Landrake) 9-7.  Sandra and John Worton (St Newlyn East) eased past first-time
             county finalists Leonard Lee and John Read (Duloe) 18-1.
