grant to purchase our own equipment especially
as more people was wanting to join, and we was
successful in getting £1,400 and the council also
gave us £400 to help us.
We currently have 20 members the oldest
being in his 90's and the youngest 14 yrs. We
advertise in the local free paper and through that
have players that not only come from West Acre
but also surrounding villages which it makes it
very enjoyable and fun game to play. Everybody West Acre Club Chairman Brian

Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon
from 2-4 players in the village hall, players pay £2 which includes refreshments and the use
of the equipment, this is every week apart from 2 weeks at Christmas when we have a break.
Around the beginning of December players along with their partners enjoy a pre-Christmas
meal out and Trophies are awarded to winners of our internal competitions (Singles and
Pairs) that we hold amongst our club members.
We like to enter competitions and for the past few years have been entering a compe-
tition called "Let's Get Active" This is a competition of 4 players in a team that play home and
away games against other teams from the local area. We have been runners up twice but
last year we managed to go 1 better and win it.
