The other match saw England facing Scotland, with the English winning 55 - 26. This
time England’s best rink were Neil Davidson, Emily Thomas, Ben Riley & Alaster McCrea 11
who won 20 - 4. Scotland did win one rink thanks to W. Shingleton, G. Maxwell, R. Gillies
& W. Mair, who edged home 9 - 8. The oddity of this round saw both Ireland and England’s best
rink both losing a game, albeit not by much.
In round 5, after a great performance against Ireland, the Welsh team were hoping for a
good result against England but the English managed to up their game and surprised the Welsh
with a 39 - 30 victory, taking three of the four rinks. Wales winning rink were Charlie Sargant,
Aled Edwards, Dafydd Howell and Andrew Evans with an 11 - 7. England’s best was an 11 - 4
from Paul Pomeroy, Matty Warden, James Bucknall & Jason McLean. Ireland meanwhile were
romping home against Scotland 60 - 25 with Shauna O’Neill, Jonathan James Shaw & Ian Hob-
             son pitching in with a 20 - 2.
The final round saw Ireland in a commanding position and in a relaxed style they soon
made short work of England by 54 shots to 24. England tried hard but the Irish were simply too
good with Eddie Campbell, Jamie West, Jason Hand & Paul Duff weighing with a big scoreline.
In the other match, Wales were dispatching Scotland 49 - 18, including a 16 - 2 from Tim
Thomas, James John-Davies Darren Davies & Craig Evans.
