The Sewards End pair started well, but the Highwoods Pair recovered, but eventually it 30
was Sewards End who took the match 6-5. Pauline & John Smith of Bardfield 1 faced Ashley &
Paul Perkins of Leadon Roding. This was another quality match that saw the Bardfield Pair in
             good form and winning 8-4
The Final started badly for John & Pauline losing 5 shots on the very first end. They briefly
recovered in the next two ends but the quality of the bowling from Mike & Colin proved too much
and the Sewards End pair of Mike Rushmer & Colin Lord eventually running out comfortable
             winners by 13 - 4
Well done to all who took part with the Sewards End pair now being invited to take part in
the Eastern Counties and National Champions of Champions in May & June. Thanks also go to
Marie Boyton & Val Kidd for running the Raffle and Duncan Lumley and Alec Russell for setting
             up and running the Competition.
                   Hertfordshire Pairs

Congratulations to Stuart Palmer and Neil Tuckey who recently won the County Pairs. They de-
feated Rebecca Hearn & Craig Hearn in a good final. This was Stuart's first Hertfordshire county
titl;, it was Neil's 3rd pair’s title. They will now go on to represent Hertfordshire at the ECCBA
and ECBA Champion of Champions events.
                   North v South

This annual match is between the winners of the Northern League and the Eastern League,
representing the South of England. As expected a hard fought match ensued but was in the end
won by Suffolk. This was the eleventh time that Suffolk have won the event, first held in 1994.
Over the last nine years they have dominated the event and have only lost once, when Duram
won in 2015. Previously Durham had won the very first championship.
