Potters Cash Pairs Winners Shirley & Joe bowl to take shot for Essex before
Brown with Mark Brewer of Potters Jon Sparham drew in to take it back

Jean Herson had the final say on the end with a winning bowl to cut Norfolk’s lead to
7-6 with an end remaining. With the tension rising it was no surprise that the final end saw
the leads failing to find the perfect length and it was left to Debbie Phillips to nail the jack
with a lovely forehand draw. The Essex triple failed to better Debbie’s bowl and the Norfolk
triple were left celebrating victory at the end of one of the Potters Cup greatest finals.
In the Potters Shield Final Debbie Barrett, Jack Barrett & Chris Mann of Wymondham
beat Gill Bunn, David Bunn & Pat Williamson of Hevingham in an all Norfolk final. While the
Most Relaxed Triple Award went to Dorothy Muttitt of Thorpe Marriott & Thelma & John
               Price of North Yorkshire.
The Potters Cash Pairs event on Sunday produced its normal

& Joe Brown of Costessey came out on top with maximum points
and a +25 shot difference. Joan Cann of Hempnall & Gerald Chilvers
of Kirby Bedon were runners-up with an identical shot difference but
scored 38 shots for against the Brown’s 40 shots.
Rose Haynes & Roger Green of North Yorkshire were third with
+22 and Jon Sparham of Hempnall & Chris Mann of Wymondham
were fourth also on + 22 but scored 37 shots against the Yorkshire

               PARAPROSDOKIAN SENTENCES

A Paraprosdokian Is a figure of speech that uses an unexpected ending to a
               sentence or phrase.
               1) Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you
               hear them speak.
               2) I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather. Not screaming and
yelling like the passengers in his car.
               3) Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people
to stand on the very edge of a pool and throw them fish.
               4) Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back.
               5) I didn't say it was your fault; I said I was blaming you.
