• A weakness that I see is an outdated facility that entails a higher risk of
contamination that detours us from keeping up with new laws and regulations in
sanitation and handling in our industry.
• We need a new cooler
• We need better forklifts
• Some of the employees complain about everything
• As equipment ages it needs to be replaced. The company is always going to need
new forklifts, new racks, etc. I think the company does just fine with monitoring
these requirements. In a perfect world there's enough money for everything but
unfortunately that's not the case. I believe our biggest weakness is an aging
workforce. As a younger employee it's very cool to see guys who have been here for
20-30 years. However, these workers will not be here forever and if the company
does not prepare for when they start to retire there are going to be some large holes
to fill in all areas of operations. I think it's very important for CCC to look ahead and
help specific employees develop in order to fill the various holes that will appear as
our older workers begin to retire.
• The customer service is going down, for the new generations of Dispatchers,
Loaders, Etc. is to ease to say, “NO I CAN'T HELP”. Giving directions, finding an order
number. Fixing a few pallet load without charging.
• Cheap maintenance,
• Old forklifts poorly maintained
• Outdated facilities and equipment. Non-competitive through put and pricing.
• Loss of good employees to competitor’s loss of customers to partnerships with our
competitors - CCC has not been able to do this. A percentage of dead wood
employees who are coasting whenever they can.
• Out of control employee rate pay. Big gaps among same job description regarding
hourly rates, causing discontent in the workplace.
• One of our biggest problem that we have are our racks pallets getting stuck, pallets
falling our employees spend too much time with these problem. Another problem is
the ice room broccoli boxes don't hold the ice; the ice room needs to be a close room
with no air circulation. The ice tank were they make the mix for the broccoli need to
be a big size tank so the mix could be perfect.
• Aging, inefficient - facilities, equipment, systems.
Opportunities
• Maybe trying to expand or merge into becoming partners with multiple growers. To
where we would be more of a lateral business. This would help us have a better Idea
of incoming product.
• We can also build a new facility were we merge all our space into just one Huge
cooler. This will create a more efficient product flow (receiving, cooling, and
shipping).
• Hopefully better equipment and equal opportunity
• A new facility
