• Have one big facility instead of having 3 small facilities.
• Cameras in all facilities
• New loading ramps
• Trailer locks on all loading docks
• More drains
• Eliminate wooden walls
• Affiliate a well-known/big customer to have a guarantee business
• I have seen many companies that grow through us, but left because they would
partner up with another cooler. In order to keep growing in this business, I think we
either need to grow our own crops or associate with a well-known business. But In
order to demonstrate to a customer a future with us, we either need to remodel our
facilities (will need a lot of work) or built a new facility from scratch.
• Training, don't get me started on training, there isn't any per say and that's a shame
without proper continual training we can’t prosper just fall back further and further
• We need only one big cooler not 3.
• We need to grow our own product and have our own label.
• We need better hydro tubes to cool the product.
• We need bigger offices to work on.
• WE NEED A BETTER COOLER AND BETTER EQUIPMENT TO DO A BETTER JOB
• I look forward to the opportunity for the company to have the ability to operate
from a state of the art facility in the future. To provide a re-pack room to meet all the
requirements for our clients. (A re-pack room is a place that provides the customer
to remove product from the carton, trim or clean the product, and then re-pack the
product under strict sanitation regulations.) Also, to have the ability to provide
cross-docking services to some of the larger chain stores that has a constant flow of
product.
• We need more training on giving orders to the employees and the supervisors
• We need a better cooler
• Right now CCC has two areas of operation: the Imperial Valley and Salinas. In
Salinas our 3 facilities reside on a very large piece of property; therefor I feel that
it's important for the company to look into expanding our Salinas facilities in order
to have room for more volume. Our cooler in El Centro is already very large, but I
think it would be a great idea to look into expanding our operations with a facility in
Yuma as well. Expanding our capacity will help the company grow to new heights
that everyone wants to reach.
• As stated above in the "weakness" section, CCC needs to look ahead at new roles that
will appearing as members of our workforce retire and if we expand our facilities.
There are two community colleges and one CSU in the area. I believe it would be
advantageous for the company to recruit from these schools. We could acquire two
different kinds of employees this way: those who are looking to learn the business
long term, and those who are willing to work part time while continuing with their
education. Having a few part time workers could really help with the costs and
taking in younger workers to learn the business could really help the company in
the long-term. When management/supervisorial positions open up, we could use
