Lupin intends to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws in each of the states in
which it operates. This supplement is in addition to and supersedes Lupin’s Employee Handbook
in the event of an inconsistency. Lupin strives to stay current with all applicable employment laws.
In the event you become aware that a policy as stated in the Handbook, this Supplement, or as
otherwise practiced by Lupin is contrary to applicable law, please contact Human Resources
immediately. We want to do our best to ensure that all Company policies are fully compliant.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Equal Employment Opportunity

not to discriminate against any employee or job applicant on the basis of age, race, color, religious
creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, not including persons whose sexual
orientation involves minor children as the sex object, gender identity, genetic information, and
disability or any other federal, State of Massachusetts, or local Massachusetts protected bases with
regard to any employment decision. Lupin is committed to hiring, promoting, transferring and
disciplining employees solely on the basis of their ability and qualifications.
Breaks
Employees are entitled to a 30 minute break, to be used for meals, for every six hours of work.
Breaks will be scheduled at staggered times to allow department coverage.
Furthermore, for each seven consecutive days worked, Employees are entitled to 24 consecutive
hours of rest, including an unbroken period between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., except in an emergency
situation.
Parental Leave
Employees are eligible for up to eight (8) weeks of unpaid parental leave. Eligible reasons for
leave include the birth of a child, the adoption of a child under the age of 18, or the adoption of a
child under the age of 23 who has mental or physical disabilities. If two employees of the same
employer need parental leave for the birth or adoption of the same child, their combined parental
leave cannot exceed eight weeks. It is within the discretion of the Employer to continue to pay
benefits during parental leave.
You must give Lupin at least two weeks’ notice of your anticipated start date for parental leave as
well as your intention to return to work after this leave. If two weeks’ notice is impracticable, you
must provide notice of your anticipated start date for parental leave as soon as practicable.
