Submission responses are usually completed within 24-48 hours. The easiest way to check a
               submission’s status is via the Optum homepage.
                   1.  Log in and click See Recent Clinical Submissions under Recent Clinical Submissions
                       in the Activity Center sidebar.
                          a.  If a request is still in process, it will show as In Process.
                          b.  When a request has been completed, it will appear under Completed Clinical
                              Submissions.


























                   2.  Click the Reference # (Response #) of a Completed submission to view the response
                       details, which will outline the Start and End Dates and the number of Visits approved.





















                          a.  Note: If a response states “The documentation submitted indicates the member
                              is approaching Maximum Therapeutic Benefit for the current treatment
                              approach,” then Optum is most likely going to deny any further requests for
                              authorized visits.
                   3.  Update the Authorization Log and the patient’s WebPT chart to reflect authorization.

               Additional Note: If a patient has visits remaining but their date range has ended, an Optum
               auth may be extended 2 weeks from the end date - but the patient MUST be discharged at the
