Scheduling an Interpreter

ASL Interpreter Services

● The clinic is required to offer to provide a sign language interpreter for a hearing-
impaired patient.
● The staff member who schedules the patient must also schedule the interpreter for their
appointments.
○ If a patient requests an interpreter, recommend scheduling at least 2 days out in
order to confirm interpreter (tell patient that we will do our best to secure
interpreter, but will call them before appointment if we are unable to secure one).

ASL Interpreter Corps (used most frequently when Debbie/Sara are unavailable)

$140 for 2 hours
