5. Roles and Responsibilities
5.1. DIDC Director: Responsible for providing technical guidance and oversight on the
implementation of this Deployment Center Plan.
5.2. DIDC Staff: Support, perform all areas of this plan and additional duties as assigned
by the DIDC Director.
6. Plan
During the DIDC process, the Deployment Center’s staff is required to satisfy a wide range
of clerical and operational requirements involving the training, processing and deployment of
candidate personnel. As part of that process candidates undergo extensive medical
processing, involving medical and dental evaluations, exams and immunizations. Further,
DIDC staff is responsible for scheduling or validating candidate travel and logistical support
prior to, during and at the conclusion of the candidates processing, along with completing a
wide array of administrative and business related functions prior to a candidate’s clearance
for deployment. Highlighted below are the requirements that will be met prior to a
candidate’s deployment. Many of the items occur concurrently and are not necessarily listed
in sequential order.
7. Medical
DI will coordinate the completion of all medical requirements with DI’s medical services
provider and will ensure requirements are completed in a timely manner, and as defined by
the Statement of Work (SOW), Medical Fitness (AR 40-501), Immunization and
Chemoprophylaxis (AR 40-562), AMDR (AMDR, dated 11 Jan 2017), USCENTCOM
Surgeon MOD-12 to the AMDR and TAB – A standards.
The following medical tasks, tests, and procedures are required for processing each
candidate, unless an exception is listed. Refer to PMO-6018-01 Deployment Center Medical
Process for additional information regarding medical processing.
7.1. Physical
7.1.1. Physical Exam - If completed prior to arrival, must be within 90 days. OCONUS
– Only applicable to DI transfer or re-hire candidates.
7.1.2. Tuberculosis (TB) Test (Quantiferon Gold Test or Tuberculin Skin Test (TST)) -
conducted within 90 days of the deployment date. OCONUS – Chest x-ray only.
