8.1.3. Counterinsurgency - (COIN) The COIN Overview for Joint Force Commanders
and Staff course provides an overview of the new joint doctrine governing the
activities and performance of the Armed Forces of the United States in COIN
operations and providing the doctrinal basis for interagency coordination and for
US military involvement in multinational COIN operations.
8.1.4. Combat Trafficking in Persons (CTIPS) - Trafficking in Persons (TIPS) is
defined as recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring, or receipt of any
persons by use of force, coercion, abduction, fraud, abuse, or exploitation. A
grave violation of human rights, it is the second largest, fastest growing criminal
activity internationally. TIPS threatens the security, civil rights, and stability and
national foreign policy goals of the U.S. Combat TIPS training is designed to
increase awareness.
8.1.5. Core Warrior Value Training - Core Warrior Values Training helps coalition
forces understand the importance of acting ethically, legally, and morally correct
always. This training explains the values needed to ensure mission success.
8.1.6. Djibouti in Perspective - Informs soldiers and Department of the Army (DA)
civilians about the Djibounti Africa’s history, values, and tribal beliefs. The
increased awareness may help to reduce possible misunderstandings and /or
miscommunications and allow for a better overall understanding.
8.1.7. EO/Prevention of Sexual Harassment (EO/POSH) - U.S. Army policy states that
sexual harassment is unacceptable. EO/POSH explains the history, the victim’s
rights, the responsibility of leadership, and how to recognize and prevent sexual
harassment. Army leadership is dedicated to creating and maintaining a
harassment free workplace and will hold soldiers and Department of the Army
(DA) civilians accountable for their actions.
8.1.8. Fraternization Policy - The Fraternization policy informs soldiers and DA
civilians about changes in Army policy regarding good order and discipline as
they pertain to relationships between military members of different rank.
8.1.9. General Orders - Applicable to all U.S. military personnel and all civilians,
General Orders list the prohibited activities for DOD personnel present with the
United States Central Command (CENTCOM). The purpose is to identify
conduct that prohibits the maintenance of good order and the discipline of forces
in the CENTCOM AOR.
8.1.10. Human Rights – Human Rights Awareness training dissemination and
information efforts aimed at the building of a universal culture of human rights
through the imparting of knowledge and skills and the molding of attitudes; the
promotion of understanding, respect, gender equality and friendship among all
nations, indigenous people and racial, national, ethnic, religious and linguistic
groups; the furtherance of the activities of the United Nations for the
maintenance of Peace.
8.1.11. Iraq in Perspective - Informs soldiers and Department of the Army (DA) civilians
about the Iraq’s history, values, and tribal beliefs. The increased awareness may
