8.1.12. Kuwait in Perspective - Informs soldiers and Department of the Army (DA)
civilians about the Kuwait’s history, values, and tribal beliefs. The increased
awareness may help to reduce possible misunderstandings and /or
miscommunications and allow for a better overall understanding.
8.1.13. Operational Security (OPSEC) - Referenced in the U.S. Department of Defense
Directive (DODD) 5205.02.OPSEC is a process of identifying critical
information and subsequently analyzing friendly actions. This training increases
the awareness of FOB protocol, policies and procedures used to protect
information.
8.1.14. Suicide Prevention - The Army Suicide Prevention Program (ASPP), a proponent
of Deputy Chief of Staff, G–1 (DCS, G–1), has an Army-wide commitment to
provide resources for suicide awareness, intervention and prevention, to reduce
the occurrence of suicidal behavior across the Army enterprise.
8.1.15. Survival, Escape, Recovery, and Evasion (SERE 100) - SERE 100 raises the
awareness of all assigned soldiers, DA civilians and DA contractors of training
requirements, personnel recovery techniques, and increases individual readiness
in the event of an isolating situation while deployed.
8.1.16. Threat Awareness Reporting Program (TARP) - Threat Awareness and Reporting
Program (TARP), formerly known as Subversion and Espionage Directed
Against the U.S. Army (SAEDA), establishes policy and responsibilities for
threat awareness and reporting in the Army. It requires Department of the Army
personnel to report to counterintelligence any information regarding known or
suspected espionage, international terrorism, sabotage, subversion, theft or illegal
diversion of military technology, information systems intrusions, and
unauthorized disclosure of classified information, among other matters.

8.2.1. First Aid - Resourcing the Army Field Manual (FM 4-25.11, the First Aid
Training provides lifesaving knowledge crucial for first responders who may be
required to execute first aid techniques to victims in order to prevent further
