7.10. Permanent Disqualifications
7.10.1. Gastric Bypass
7.10.2. Positive Pregnancy Test
7.10.3. Positive HIV results
7.10.4. Active Tuberculosis
7.10.5. Diabetes treated with insulin
7.10.6. Hearing Loss as defined by the USG Medical Deployment Standards
7.10.7. Untreated/unevaluated Pre-Cancerous lesions
7.10.8. Cancer that requires recurring treatment and/or frequent laboratory testing
7.10.9. Psychotic and bipolar disorders
7.10.10. Internal Cardiac Pacemaker or defibrillator
7.10.11. Use of following Medications:
7.10.11.1. Therapeutic anticoagulants
7.10.11.2. Bipolar agents
7.10.11.3. Opioids and most controlled substances
7.10.12. Any disqualifying condition as identified in the latest AMDR/MOD that pertains
to Medical/Dental requirements.
8. Training
Training Modules must be completed in order to be deployable. There are some training modules
that can be accessed individually through the website: http://training.dyn-intl.com. Instructor-led
classroom training is provided when applicants do not have access to the online training, i.e.
OCONUS. In addition to the below outlined U.S. Government mandated training requirements,
refer to PMO-6018-03 Deployment Center Training Process to review additional training
processes.
8.1. Theater Specific Individual Readiness Training (TSIRT) may be required depending on
the deployment location and consists of the following:
8.1.1. Afghanistan in Perspective - Informs soldiers and Department of the Army (DA)
civilians about the Afghani’s history, values, and tribal beliefs. The increased
awareness may help to reduce possible misunderstandings and /or
miscommunications and allow for a better overall understanding.
8.1.2. Antiterrorism Level 1 Training - Antiterrorism Level 1 Training, sponsored by
the Joint Staff in coordination with the Military Services. Completion of this
training meets the annual requirement for Level I Antiterrorism Training required
by Department of Defense Instruction (DODI) 2000.16. The purpose of this
training is to increase awareness of terrorism and increase the ability to apply
personal protective measures.
