8.2.2. Isolated Personnel Report (ISOPREP) – U.S EXPAT Only - The ISOPREP
report allows rescue or recovery forces to rapidly identify and authenticate
isolated personnel. Per Army Regulation 525-28, all soldiers and army civilians
traveling outside the United States shall complete a Personnel Recovery Mission
Software (PRMS) digital ISOPREP prior to departing the United States.
8.2.3. Improvised Explosive Devises (IED) - IED, is a homemade bomb constructed
and deployed in ways to inflict the most harm or damage. The visual IED
presentation uses videos and pictures that trigger immediate understanding of
potential hazards of IEDs. The intent of this training is to increase awareness,
identifying a situation (i.e. potential suicide bomber), instruct how to react,
empower personnel to take immediate action through identification to help
prevent injuries or death to personnel and damage to any equipment.
8.2.4. Preventative Medicine – including Heat/Cold Injury Prevention - It is the intent
of this training to inform deploying personnel of the potential health hazards and
the individual countermeasures necessary to ensure personal safety and health
while in Theater.
8.2.5. Report Intelligence Information - This training is intended to educate individuals
on standard, effective communication. It teaches the ability to responsibility to
report intelligence information that is vital for combat success by utilizing the S-
A-L-U-T-E format.
8.2.6. Sexual Harassment/ Assault Response and Prevention (SARP) - The Sexual
Harassment Assault Response and Prevention Program reinforces the Army’s
commitment to eliminate incidents of sexual harassment and assault through a
comprehensive policy that centers on awareness and prevention, training and
education, victim advocacy, response, reporting, and accountability.
8.2.7. Two Minute Drill – A hands-on roll play, where the First Aid 1 training is
practiced. A crisis area is created and the candidates are given two minutes to call
medics, triage the “casualties” and treat “victims” and they are judged on their
actions by the trainers. This training emphasizes that prompt and effective action
is needed to sustain life and prevent or minimize further suffering and disability.
Medical personnel may not always be readily available, and first responders must
rely heavily on their own skills and knowledge of life-sustaining methods. They
are asked to:
8.2.7.1. Perform first aid to prevent or control shock
8.2.7.2. Perform first aid for open abdominal wound
8.2.7.3. Perform first aid for an open chest wound
8.2.7.4. Perform first aid for bleeding of and extremity
8.2.7.5. Perform first aid for an open head wound
8.3. DI-Required Training
8.3.1. The following courses are required of all DI Logistic Civil Augmentation
Program (LOGCAP) candidates with exceptions noted. Other programs within
DI may or may not require all of the following training:
