disconnected for several days, The vehicle is driving in heavy traffic where driving is at low
speeds, and the vehicle is stopped and started repeatedly.

              44. Rear Seat Entertainment System
“Hi, I have a 2006 Envoy XL. I usually switch back and forth between the front and rear CD
player while I’m driving. Last week my kids were listening to something separate back
there and now I can’t switch back and forth. I can’t even see the Rear Seat Entertainment
System screen. Did they break something?”
The agent should search for the 2006 GMC Envoy XL manual and go to Navigation Audio
System > Rear Seat Entertainment System.

The answer is: They probably didn’t break any thing.
“When the RSE system is turned off, you must turn it back on from the RSE system. It
cannot be turned back on through the navigation system radio.”

              45. Auxiliary Devices
“My Father is letting my use his 2007 Suburban while my car in the shop. I have a bunch
of music on my iPod I want to listen to. Is there some way I can download it to the in dash
                 stereo?”
The agent should search for the 2007 Chevrolet Suburban manual and go to Navigation
                 Audio System > Auxiliary Devices.
The answer is: You don’t need to download them. You can listen to things directly from
                 your iPod.
“The navigation system has an auxiliary input jack located in the upper right corner of the
                 faceplate.

This is not an audio output; do not plug the headphone set into the front auxiliary input
jack. You can however, connect an external audio device such as an iPod, laptop
computer, MP3 player, CD changer, or cassette tape player, etc. to the auxiliary input jack
for use as another source for audio listening. If your vehicle has rear audio/video input
jacks, located in the rear of the center console, they can be used as another source for
                 audio/video listening.
To use a portable audio player, connect a 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) cable to the auxiliary input
jack. When a device is connected, the system will detect and automatically begin playing
audio from the device over the vehicle’s speakers. If a device is connected and you are
listening to another source (FM, CD, MP3, etc.), press the AUDIO key then press the
AUDIO key repeatedly until AUX is selected or touch the AUX screen button. An auxiliary
device must be connected for the AUX screen button to appear as an option to select or
the vehicle must have rear auxiliary jacks. See “Rear Seat Entertainment System” in the
Index of your vehicle’s owner manual for more information on the rear auxiliary jacks.”
