There are a number of initial registrations in process.
Disease Surveillance
The development of the Veterinary APP is to be tested by selected users in
next two months before it will be rolled out to all pig practitioners.
Welfare Working Committee
There have been no communications with SPCA on ear-notching in the past
3 months. Our research into ear notching is continuing.
Compensation
Workshops and discussion between DAFF and NAHF are ongoing.
Animal Identification Registration and Traceability (AIRT)
A significant number of producers have registered with GS1 system.
Pork360
Accreditation certification for 2020 is 98% complete.
All units that are registered with Woolworths’ program and 10% of PnP only
registered farms are also being audited at the same time.
110 Units in 57 sow flows will be audited. This represents about more than
70,000 sows and their offspring.
Currently still have 9 abattoirs certified.
