the upcoming "Increase customer orientation" campaign
will help him to distinguish himself, to be successful, to try
something new and to prove his independence. Then this
employee quickly catches fire and is committed, passionate,
and heart and soul to the task at hand.
• Impulse 2: Meet the employee's desire for dominance.
Wherever possible, give him praise and recognition, open up
scope for him to report on his successes in detail. In this way,
you satisfy his striving for dominance. You can also throw a
red one. And if you assign him tasks, he expects you to
formulate precisely, to give him clear information and to
describe your request clearly. In the case of delegation, it is
necessary to give him not only the task, but also the necessary
competencies and, above all, the responsibility. This
accommodates his desire for independence, one of his
important drivers.
• Impulse 3: Motivate in a benefit-oriented way. You motivate
the redhead by making it clear to him what he can gain - for
example - from a customer action. Make clear to him the
advantages he will have. Explain what is in it for him if he gets
involved. And if there are disadvantages, you should not
conceal them from him.
