Online Recipe delivers good performance
The Quickfood digital recipe club in conjunction with the Tuis I Home online
publication has achieved a reach of almost 3 000 000 to date, with very good
engagement from consumers on the social media platforms of Tuis I Home.
A new SA Pork recipe and photo is published every Friday and beautiful pork
cooking videos are added about 2 times per month.

In-Store promotions not yet back in action
The CoVid-19 situation wiped out all in-store promotions since March 2020
which meant a major loss of direct contact with consumers for the SA Pork
brand.
At this stage retailers are grappling to compile an industry policy framework
for how in-store promotions, where food is being handled and samples are
being given to consumers, will be re-allowed into stores.
Retailers report healthy growth in fresh pork sales
SAPPO stays in contact with the major retailers and Checkers, Shoprite, Food
Lovers Markets and Pick ‘n Pay are all reporting optimistic, good pork sales for
2020 to date.
Some concerns are being expressed about the increasing price of pork
towards Christmas 2020.
Digital and print advertorial in TASTE
An inside front cover position was secured for a SA Pork advertorial in the
November issue of the printed and digital versions of TASTE.
