SIMPLE, WEAR-FREE OPERATION Solenoid Data
All solenoid coils are furnished with 24 inch
The extraordinary performance of SPRITE II valves is made possible by two major characteristics: leadwire connections. Coils are varnished in
conformance with MIL-V-173.
1. Exceedingly simple operation that eliminated points of wear or fatigue.
All voltages shown below are furnished at no
2. A virtually frictionless precision matched body and spool assembly that requires only extra cost. For other voltages consult factory.

The solenoid operator itself consists of a lightly hinged mechanical operating arm (armature) cycle service.
that is held in position by a low tension spring. With the armature in its spring held position, a AMPERAGE
second light spring holds the spool in its normal position. When the solenoid is energized, the VOLTAGE (MILLI-AMPS) WATTAGE
current creates a magnetic effect on a protruding steel core, which in turn draws the armature 6VDC 460 2.8
toward it. When the solenoid is de-energized, spring force returns the pressure balanced spool 12VDC 230 2.8
to its original position. 24VDC 115 2.8
The mass of the SPRITE II armature is negligible compared to conventional T-bar or poppet type. 12VAC/50-60Hz 1,600 800 5.2
This low mass, plus the small, highly efficient magnetic gap, give the SPRITE II its exceptional 24VAC/50-60Hz 800 400 5.2
performance characteristics. 115VAC/50-60Hz 160 80 5.2

SPECIFICATIONS
SPRITE II is a direct solenoid operated
spool valve, with a short stroke,
and packless design, for 3 or 4-Way
applications. It may be continuously
operated with or without line
lubrication, and mounted in any
position. It is a sub-base mounted
valve. All solenoids are rated for
continuous duty.
