• verbal conduct such as epithets, jokes based on ethnicity or gender, derogatory
comments, foul or obscene language, slurs or unwanted sexual advances,
invitations or comments;
• visual conduct such as derogatory posters, cartoons, drawings or gestures;
• physical conduct such as assault, blocking normal movement or interference
with work because of gender or another protected basis;
• use of Cliff’s Amusement Park’s computer system to accomplish any of the
prohibited forms of harassment or to circulate prohibited materials;
• threats and demands to submit to sexual requests in order to maintain
employment or avoid some other loss, and offers of job benefits in return for
sexual favors; and
• retaliation for having reported the harassment.
Harassment is prohibited in Cliff’s Amusement Park’s offices and in other work-related
settings such as business trips, court appearances and business-related social events.
Any employee who feels he or she is being harassed or discriminated against, or who is
aware of harassment or discrimination, should report it immediately to HR. Cliff’s
Amusement Park will keep the matter confidential, to the greatest extent possible, by
informing only individuals on a “need to know” basis. An investigation will be undertaken.
If harassment and/or discrimination is found to have occurred, prompt and appropriate
remedial action will be taken.
Any employee found to have violated this policy is subject to disciplinary action, including
termination of employment. No employee will be retaliated against for reporting
harassment or discrimination or participating in a related investigation.
Cliff’s Amusement Park will not tolerate, condone or allow harassment, whether engaged
in by fellow employees, supervisors, directors or by clients, vendors or other non-
employees who conduct business with Cliff’s Amusement Park. We encourage the
reporting of all incidents of harassment, regardless of who the offender may be.
Cliff’s Amusement Park has developed this policy to ensure that all its employees can
work in an environment free from harassment. Cliff’s Amusement Park will conduct
periodic training so that all its employees are familiar with the policy and know that any
complaint received will be thoroughly investigated and appropriately resolved.
Open Door Policy/Problem Solving
Cliff’s Amusement Park recognizes that employees will have suggestions for improving
the workplace, as well as concerns about the workplace. The most satisfactory solution
to a job-related problem or concern is usually reached through a prompt discussion with
your supervisor. Please feel free to contact your supervisor with any suggestions and/or
concerns.
