under a curse. The scripture reads, now you are under a

curse and driven from the ground, which opened its
mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your
hand. When you work the ground, it will no longer yield

its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the
earth. Cain was fearful of this curse. He complained that

the punishment is more than he could bear and that he
would be murdered by those who he came across as a

            restless  wanderer.    The LORD  GOD responded,  not so;
anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times

over.” Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one
who found him would kill him (Genesis 4:15). It is this

“mark on Cain” that has been used to obscure the truth.
It has been erroneously explained that this mark was

dark skin. It has been asserted that GOD changed Cain
into a black man as a curse. As a result, it followed that
all people of dark skin are cursed of GOD.

Truth – Genesis 4, GOD is not mocked; HE sees beyond:

The punishment was expulsion from his home, and
worse, from the presence of GOD. Clearly, the curse

was not the mark that GOD placed on Cain since the
Bible does not even describe the nature of the mark. The

curse was expulsion from GOD’s presence. The truth is
that the mark that GOD placed on Cain was an act of

mercy, not a curse. It was placed on him to protect him.
