said their defeats would come from their enemies,
neighboring tribes. Thus, he was prophesying what
happened during the ages of Judges (circa 1500-1050
BC). His words give us a clue of the misery that Jews
endured throughout the ages of Judges. When Jews

repented, GOD raised a Judge to free them from their
oppressions and bondage. This is documented in the
            Book of Judges.

Moses foretold the ages of Kings (1050-586BC). It is
easy to overlook the fact that as Moses’ spoke his
farewell warnings; he spoke of a time when kings would
            rule Israel.

Moses foretold the Northern Kingdom’s fall to Assyria
[Deut. 28:36-46] “The Lord will bring you and the king
whom you set over you to a nation which neither you nor
your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other
gods—wood and stone.” This prophecy was fulfilled
when Northern Israel was conquered and fell into
            captivity to Assyria. (Circa 721-720BC).

This would come to pass nearly 500 years later. During
the early reign of kings, Israel remained faithful to GOD.

Thus, under the rule of King David and his son,
Solomon’s rule, Israel was blessed with great prosperity
as GOD had promised (Lev. 26:1-20).

The next period that Moses foretold pertained to the

times when kings ruled over a divided kingdom. GOD
divided the kingdom as punishment for Solomon’s
idolatries (circa 930BC). The Kings of that period would
