faithful and rebuilt Jerusalem and the Temple. Moses
then foretells (Deut. 28:58-63) a time span of ages when
Alexander-the-Great’s successors ruled (Dan. 8).

[Deut. 28:58-63] Israel will fall prey to plagues and
afflictions leading up to Messiah’s visit. Moses’ words
echoes the same time period which Daniel also foretold.
The details parallel the ages when the Ptolemy’s,

Seleucid’s, and Romans ruled leading up to time of
CHRIST’s visitation (Dan. 6, 7, 8, 10-11)

During this period, the Ptolemy’s (Kings of the North)
and the Seleucid’s (Kings of the South) ruled during the
time of circa 321-190 BC. Daniel prophesied extensively
about the wars between these kings (Dan. 11).

This period culminates with the rule of Antiochus
Epiphanes IV (the first image of the antichrist) who
ruthlessly ruled Judea. He replaced Israel’s Priests with
pagans who desecrated the Temple and committed
many abominations that lead to the Maccabean revolt.

These kingdoms were overthrown by the Romans (circa
190BC). This time period led up to the time of CHRIST’s
first visitation.
