In its 1990 assessment, the IPCC produced the following illustration:

This clearly shows the Medieval Warm Period (MWP) between 700 and 1300AD when
temperatures were above the current level, when Greenland was precisely that and vines grew,
even in Northern England. The MWP is not something believers like to admit and, in fact, have
done everything they can to hide it. It is one of the “smoking guns” against “global warming”.
The IPCC SAR4 report painted a totally different picture :
