The campaign recorded a 100 per cent positive global interaction, while local, regional,
and international media coverage reached over 190m viewers.
The UAE is ranked at the top 10 on several global competitiveness indicators in the
tourism, travel and hospitality sector.
The country’s hotel occupancy rate hit more than 84.6 per cent, the highest in the
world according to the STR Foundation and ranked 5th globally in attracting foreign
direct investment in the tourism sector during 2018 -2022.
It also emerged as the second ranking country globally in IMD World Competitiveness
Yearbook’s tourism revenue index of 2022.
The UAE hotel revenues reached AED26bn ($7.1bn) from January-July 2023, recording a
24 per cent jump compared to the same period in 2022.
The number of hotel guests reached 16m during the first seven months in 2023,
marking a 15 per cent growth compared to the same period in 2022, amounting to
56m hotel nights.
