                 10:30 - 11:30 Session 148 PreK-1st 100B
                            Early Childhood Math Superpower Hour

During this interactive session, participants will explore and discuss math strategies that can be
used in the early childhood environment to nurture and support early mathematic development
skills. Presenters will share integrated math and literacy activities such as math puppetry,
storytelling and finger-plays to show the connection between math, literacy and real-life
               experiences.

NCTM Principles to Actions: Establishing Mathematics Goals to Focus Learning, Implementing Tasks that Promote Reasoning and
Problem Solving, Using and Connecting Mathematical Representations, Facilitating Meaningful Mathematical Discourse, Posing
Purposeful Questions, Building Procedural Fluency from Conceptual Understanding, Supporting Productive Struggle in Learning
Mathematics, Eliciting and Using Evidence of Student Thinking
