Banner Year for Area II

It’s been a banner couple of years for Area II as the region continues to make its
mark throughout the Northeast corridor and beyond with enthusiasm, energy and
excitement! Under the leadership of Lady Helena L. Dodson, National Area II
Director, “Awesome Area II” has enjoyed record-breaking area conference
attendance, chartered a new chapter, been the recipient of a substantial land

donation, stood up for various civil rights and African-American organizations and
worked to strengthen its ties with TLOD’s national partners.

One of Area II’s biggest achievements occurred in April of this year, when Area II

celebrated the chartering of

the newest chapter, the

Patuxent River Chapter,

based in Laurel, Maryland.

The 21 ladies making up the

Patuxent River Chapter were

inducted into Top Ladies of

Distinction, Inc. at the 35th

Annual Area II Leadership

Conference this year in

Virginia Beach, Virginia

The Top Ladies of the new Patuxent River Chapter, based in under the guidance of
Laurel, Maryland. National President Lady
Drema Lee Woldman and

Founder Lady Ozell Dean.

The Patuxent River Chapter, under Chapter Organizer Lady Wanda King,

becomes Area II’s 12th chapter and its third in the state of Maryland.

In all, since 2015, Area II has inducted 172 Ladies into Top Ladies of Distinction,
Inc. and 131 Teens into Top Teens of America.

Last year, Area II received its biggest donation to date – a parcel of land from the
