18. Cable meggering:
At 152 Locations/stations cable meggering has been done to improve the
safety & reliability.
19. Paralleling of outdoor relay contacts:
At 21 stations/Locations paralleling of External relay contacts has been done to
improve the Reliability.
(SRUR, CTF, DRR, GDQ, GGD, TDU, VHGN, WIRR, BG, SKZR-VEM IB, VEM-SRUR IB, LC-80,
MKDI-WIRR IB, PGDP, HSP, NKD, MKDI, MTMI, BIDR, GLE, SC-HSJ A/S).
20. Replacement of Point machine Ground connections:
158 No. of Corroded Point Ground connections replaced with new and for
1512 No.s of Point Ground connections red oxide painting done to improve
safety and reliability.
21. Improvement of earthing:
At 12 No. of Locations released catenary wire with ring arrangement has been
provided to improve the earth resistance and enhance the system Reliability.
22. Replacement of obsolete Analog Axle counter:
At 02 locations/ sections obsolete Analog axle counters are replaced with
Track circuiting /Digital axle counter to improve the safety & reliability.
23. Replacement of aged Relays:
About 825 No. of aged Relays (Track relays-554 & Line relays -271) are replaced
with new to improve the safety & reliability.
24. Major Track Improvement works with Engineering Department:
a. Approximately 109 Km’s of Track Deep screening done duly securing S&T cable
to improve the track consolidation.
b. About 38 No’s of Point layouts Deep screening done duly removing the Point
machines & securing S&T cable to improve the track condition and to
enhance the speed.
c. About 1448 No. of Point machine layouts Unimat machine packing done to
improve the track condition.
d. At 09 locations Crossover Curve Correction done with Engg. Dept., for 28
machines duly shifting of Point machine layout with crossover and deep
screening with JCB at Point & Crossover portion.
