              and to strive against above said type of failures.

            Relocation of AT @ LC-67 for RUB:
              Engineering  department  is  planned  an  RUB  to  eliminate  the  LC-67  between
              locations 227/22 to 227/20 (b/w Rechni road and Repalliwada stations). To execute
              the  above  works  there  are  obstructions  from  TrD  side.  There  exist  an  AT  in  the
              selected location and same has been relocated by erecting the new K-150 mast.

            Provision of Insulator Disc:


                 A  new  insulated  disc  has  been  developed  to  prevent  flashover  and  CB
              tripping as a trial basis. This designed as per SMI No. TI/MI/0059 made of nylon
              material.  In  monkey  and  birds  menace  areas  in  MTMP  and  ALER  and  BKL
              section  217  Insulator  discs  were  provided  to  assess  the  impact.  So  far  the
              results are satisfactory.

             Provision of replacement “C” jumpers and providing additional C jumpers in NICCO
              make contact wire TLs:

                During special drive launched by the division on 01.12.19 for thorough checking of C
              jumpers after look-over and study of the ‘C’ jumper strands cut incidents in a very
              short  span,  it  was  noticed  missing  of  C  jumpers  in  several  tension  lengths  in

              Nekkonda  (NKD),  Dornakal  (DKJ),  Bhadrachalam  road  (  BDCR)  Kazipet(KZJ)  and
              Jammikunta  (JMKT)  sections  in  the  Division.    08  C  jumpers  were  provided  and  12
              Jumpers were replaced.

                                     So far 485 jumpers were newly provided and 530 jumpers were replaced
              at old locations as on date to avoid strands cut due to over load current carried for

              several years. And additional C jumpers providing in NICCO make contact wire TLs
              for better electrical continuity between Contact and catenary wires.
