3.1.13. IMPROVEMENT OF DRAINAGE:
 SLIPPED BANK AT KM:79/1-3:

On 14.10.2020 rain fall of 115mm was recorded and heavy inundation
was noticed at KM:79/1-3 due to back flow from River Kagna.
Inundated water was recorded within short span of time which resulted
in decreased shear strength leading to sudden collapse of
formation/bank and track. Due to this train traffic was suspended from
13Hrs of 14.10.20 to 18Hrs of 15.10.20 and carried out

bank/track restoration work.
Immediately around 100 workers were deputed along with
department staff of TDU, SEM & VKB sections, track was attended
manually for taking machines, Duomat packing done over manually
attended track, ballast unloaded .Monsoon reserve rake taken over
attended track for strengthen of embankment with boulders and
sand bags. Strengthening of bank by driving ballies and sand bags,
earth work by Hitachis was undertaken.
