Somehow, coming from her it all seemed a little
more plausible. Maybe I had to admit that Pita was not
just blowing smoke, and that he was right about Tu.
Aroha didn’t want me to doubt what I had seen and
felt that day. She continued to explain. “The explosion
was an unusually big event that only a powerful
individual is able to intervene in. However, there are
many smaller things that might seem like magic around
us every day. In those instances, I am the magician and
you are too.
“We each have that ability and the kind of power
that you were meant to witness. It can be cultivated
and used for positive and negative, good or evil.”
“Not everyone who has learned to harness their
power does so for good. Fortunately, Tu does.”
She also wanted to make sure that I was aware that I
did affect everything around me with each thought and
each word I spoke. She suggested that I give her words
some thought and left it at that.
With that said, she had to run off. She was late.
Unbeknown to me or her, as she grabbed her books she
accidentally picked up some my things, including my
passport.
