He actually started to think that maybe I was not so
bad since I had so bravely (his words) risked my own
well-being to help one of his people.

So, he had come to make peace
and give me another chance.

I wasn’t sure about needing another chance but hey,
I was up for seeing where this might go.

The hours flew by and when it was time for him to
leave, both Aroha and the Professor had returned.
Aroha thought that she recognized him and joined
our conversation. It turned out that she actually knew
Pita’s family.

She made an excuse to get me off to the corner of the
kitchen just to let me know how cute he was and that he
wouldn’t be a bad choice.

It sounded absolutely ridiculous to me. However,
before Pita left, I did agree to meet him again.
