Open a chain of food stores called Sell By Today, which
would offer food items for sale only on their sell-by
date. The store would buy in products from the major
supermarket chains on the day before the sell-by date
at discounted rates, and offer further bargains to
customers. The stores would be positioned to appeal to

41office workers able to shop for the evening ahead. The
chain would also work with homeless charities to co-
ordinate distribution of food not sold by closing time.

Introduce parking meters either on public roads or in car
parks that can be accessed remotely by telephone.
Each space would have its own pin number allowing the
owner of the vehicle the opportunity to top up their
allocated time by credit card payment or reverse billed
SMS without returning to the vehicle.
