               1) Reliability improvement works:
                    Checking of OHE with 2032mm Pantograph:
                       As per the instructions from the Headquarters, the
                       checking      of   OHE     with    2032     pantograph
                       completed  in  KZJ-BPQ,  KZJ-SC,  SC-WD,  DKJ-KI                Fig: Checking of OHE with

                       section in SC Division.                                           2032 mm in SC-WD .

               2) Other Safety Improvement Works in train operations:
                    Provision of Sigma Boards ahead of STOP Signals:
                       To assist Loco pilots for easily identifying the STOP
                       signals  during  foggy  weather  conditions,  Division
                       has  taken  up  the  work  of  provision  of  Retro
                       reflective  SIGMA  boards,  ahead  of  the  STOP

                       signals. 44 no’s sigma boards were provided.

                    Attention of Leaning/Critical implantation masts:
                       Leaning/critical  implantation  masts  in  OHE  are  the  major  concern  of  panto
                       entanglements and safely operation of trains with higher speeds respectively in
                       the  Indian  Railways.  To  avert  all  the  problems  due  to  leaning/critical
                       implantation masts the division has eliminated 08 No. by erecting the new masts
                       at  ALER  jurisdiction  during the  month,  with this total  44 locations  eliminated in
                       the year 2022-23.

                    Replacement of rusted Cantilever’s:

                    Rusted  cantilevers  are  the  one  of  the  causes  for  breakdown  in  polluted
                    areas. Due to the rusting of the cantilever tubes, the mechanical strength of
                    the cantilever will decrease drastically and leads to breakdown of OHE. To
                    avert the failures due to rusting of cantilevers, replacement work has taken

                    up and replaced 37 No’s in pollution prone areas in DKJ jurisdiction.
