20 Questions about PowerPoint in the Virtual Classroom

        Q 14

There is nothing more powerful than a dynamic, compelling image on a
slide. You’ve probably heard the expression, “A picture is worth a

thousand words.” It’s very true in the virtual classroom. If you are trying
to influence or motivate people, a well-chosen photograph can speak
               volumes.

For example, let’s say that you are presenting information about how to
be safe in a thunderstorm. You could display bulleted points about the
presence of electricity in the clouds, the number of people struck by
lightning in the past five years, or the chances of being struck by lightning

during a storm. But it would be far more effective to show the image of a
tree at the dramatic moment when it is struck by lightning to introduce
               one key message.

As a general practice, consider introducing a new section of training with
a compelling story accompanied by a vibrant photo.
