A Quick Review
Remember the simply in simply noticing and the playing in choosing and
playing with options. Play with filling in the blanks below. It will help you
to reflect on what you have learned.
You have learned The Basics of Pleasure. That is, that being c _
n _ _ r _ d is a top priority. Attaining this state of being is primarily,
if not exclusively, an i _ s _ d _ job, a job that begins with knowing
where you end and all else begins, a miraculous sheath known as
your s _ _ n. And you have learned that your breathing is both a
barometer and a regulator of your internal experience. You know
that a good act is a boon, but you know too that you are not your
act, and to relax your pact to keep your act intact will save you a lot
of misery.
Having developed the ability to center yourself, you are able to
establish the h _ _ _ and n _ _ as a home base from which you
regulate your spotlight of a w _ r _ _ e s _. With your spotlight, you
are able to s _ m _ l _ n _ t _ _ e your gremlin’s chatter as well as
the habits and c _ n c _ p _ _ that he perpetuates. You know the
importance of attending to your habits for responding to emotions as
well as your habits for responding to people and life circumstances.
You know how to use your spotlight of awareness to become aware
of outdated concepts such as your s _ _ f-concept and your concepts
about how the world works. As you become aware of old behaviors
and habits, you will be able to choose and p _ _ y with options.
