Kaizen

Platinum Winner Kranthi Deshmukh

This is the most amazing project yet to be done
using Kaizen methodology. Here the only change is
that this project did need a bit of investment though

compared to the amount of investment and energy it saved this
was priceless. The project was to introduce Solar panels in the
unused spaces in the Power Plant at Nagpur.

She was instrumental in leading this unique innovation whereby she got
Solar power panels placed in the space available in water bodies thereby
providing a shaded area for all animals to rest in the water and also helped in
removing algae from growing as this cover from sunlight prevented them from
growing and the panels were automatically kept cool.

Kranti also had solar panels installed on top of the car parks and uniquely on footpaths as
well which provided excellent power save to the plant and surroundings. Some pictures are

The PDCA method she applied was a great success and this project was what won her accolades at
all levels and lead her to win a Platinum award for successful implementation of a Kaizen at
workplace.
