Platinum Winner Harish Damam

Harish had presented an excellent project on Lean
Harish Damam
methodologies application to Warehouse management.
The project he did combined Value Stream designed by team
to optimise the over all lead time & Introduced Supermarket and
Surplus Market concept in Warehouse with Single piece material
flow and Group Layout.

The transformation of the Warehouse was phenomenal and was very evident in
the pictures shared to explain the transformation

Some of the benefits reaped were: 50 % reduction in lead times, Best 5S, FIFO with 2 Bin system,
Easy material traceability, Standard Storage system, Reduction in Movements from 5 Kms to 1Km per
100 parts, Excess inventory controlled - 2bin concept, Motivated Employee Morale.

This excellent display put up by using the lean concepts definitely deserved a Platinum award for Lean
implementation and that is what the outcome of this project was. DN Business excellence award
recognized this project as one of the best in class projects which were competing for the Lean category.

Harish was very thankful to the team NIQC for the training provided in the various lean concepts which
had helped him become a certified Lean Manager and also to DN Incorporation for the platform
provided to display his expertise in the field of Lean and also helping him earn a reward in that
category.
