Why is this the case?

Why is it that some people grow up and turn into drug addicts or alcoholics even

though they've had the best possible upbringing while other people turn into

successful entrepreneurs or leaders in society even though they've come from the

ghettos and slums of the Earth?

What I've come to realise is that a lot of this comes down to how we perceive the

world around us. What I perceive of one situation, another person in that same

situation is going to experience something completely different. Often the reason why

we have such different experiences to the people around us is because underlying all

of our experiences is a fundamental belief system. It is the way that we interpret the

world around us. It is the filter that we placed over our experiences and helps us to

process what is happening to us or around us in the world at large.

What is pretty amazing about this filter is that at some stage if you start connecting

with it enough and understanding the fundamental building blocks of your belief

system then you become empowered to start shifting the way that you're perceiving

the world around you. Once you do this, you can start empowering yourself to start

shifting towards the life of your dreams.

Before we get to that stage though what we can start doing is we can start developing

our self awareness and self-understanding by recognising that all the hurts that we

have had in our lives aren't there to make us feel unworthy or like victims of life.
