Ignacio “Nacho” Felix Honored by
the Mexican Sports Hall of Fame!
A longtime supporter of CSM, Nacho was thrilled to
share this latest news with us:
“I recently got inducted into the Hall of Fame at the
Mexican Sports Confederation in Mexico City as the
“Pioneer of Mexican Surfing.” It was a totally
unexpected honor from our very formal sports authori-
ties. In my country, surfing was looked upon as a sport
for beach bums, but when I unveiled that plaque I was
so happy and proud that after 50 years they finally (Below...) “This photo was taken in 2021 at Acapulquito Beach,
recognized it as an official sport.” below where my wife Veronica and I live in Cabo.

further research.

MAKING HISTORY today...
17-year-old Caitlin Simmers, who was CSM’s
Making Waves featured young surf star in 2019,
earned her second Championship Tour victory at the
VIVO Rio Pro event in Puerto Rico in early July.
She earned her first CT title in March, edging out
Baja Surf Club: Rodolfo Acevedo Courtney Conlogue at the MEO Rip Curl in Portugal.
