Tobacco-Free Workplace Policy
All associates of Kontoor and its affiliates (the "Company") are covered by this policy. Associates, as a
condition of employment, are required to abide by the requirements of this policy, except as otherwise
required by applicable law.
I. POLICY:
This policy prohibits the use of any tobacco products at any of the Company’s facilities in
the United States.
II. OBJECTIVE:
Kontoor is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace and to promoting the health
and well-being of its associates, which includes reducing the health risks related to the use
of tobacco products. This policy establishes guidelines on the prevention of tobacco use and
the use of tobacco products at the workplace.
III. DEFINITIONS:
A. The prohibition on the use of tobacco products at any of the company’s facilities in the
United States applies to all associates, contractors, consultants, and visitors during and
outside work hours. It applies to:
1. All interior space owned, or leased by the Company;
2. All outside property or grounds owned or leased by the Company, including parking
areas;
3. Privately-owned vehicles while they are on Company property; and
4. All Company-owned vehicles, whether on or off Company property.
B. Tobacco products include cigarettes, pipes, cigars, chewing tobacco, snuff, smokeless
cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, or any other similar or related products.
IV. TOBACCO FREE WORKPLACE POLICY DISSEMINATION
A. All associates are to be informed of the Company's Tobacco-Free Workplace policy and
be made aware of its contents. Associates shall be given a copy of the Company's
Tobacco-Free Workplace policy to review.
B. All applicants shall be informed in writing of the Company's policy prior to an offer of hire.
C. All contractors, consultants, and visitors will be informed of this policy through posted
notices or by the host associate.
